The whole begins with a combination:
It is the meeting on American soil of a young oenologist of Burgundy
and Alsatian descent and a wine grower from Bordeaux that gave birth to the vineyard in 2009.
After numerous experiences around the world, only the best of those respecting the vine and its fruit were retained.
| The vineyard: of an average age of 30 years, we cultivate it traditionally and reason all contributions and chemical interventions. Located on a beautiful clay and limestone slope in the Bordeaux region, we make it our goal all year-round to assist our vines to produce the best grapes. |
| The winery: it was established in an old renovated stone barn. A great wine cultivated in the field, this winery has been equiped for the highest respect of the grape. Thus we are working on vessels of small volumes (30hL max) and we use equipment that respects the grape harvest (peristaltic pump, conveyor belt, manual punching, press vacuum, temperature control). |
In the end:
The creation of these vintages is just a snapshot of taste in which we try to recreate the fun and pleasure of our business. We do not claim an appellation of origin and prefer to remain ”Vin de France”, to both reduce the administrative burdens that have no influence on product quality, and because we believe that only the symbiosis between the vines, the soil and mother nature is sufficient to give us enough guidance to make our profession a pleased that we wish to share with you.
